Sniffle sniffle cough Cough
I am sitting here listening to my sniffles thinking
I wish I felt great like I did when I was a kid.
With all the processed foods that we eat these
days it is no wonder that people of most ages feel
ickky. Unless a person is kinda oldish, oh say in their
seventies and eighties then is this our lot in life?
You do know that the elderly look better old than
we will when we get to that age don't you?
What about becoming a vegan, would you consider
that? Veganism may be the way to go!
I have tried to buy superfoods when I shop and
I have found that route to be very expensive when
shopping at Mother Earth for instance, a local health
food store. I actually do better shopping at Walmart,
price wise we can get more for the money there.
So, what is a VEGAN?
Veganism is a system of dietary and lifestyle practices
that seeks to promote health and peace while reducing
the suffering of both people and animals.
Vegans (pronounced vee-guns) are vegetarians who do
not eat any foods (eggs, dairy products, meat, etc.)
derived from animal sources. Most vegans also do not
use products that require for their production the death
or suffering of animals, such as leather, fur, wool, and
certain cosmetics etc.

Memorial for 9/11
Today in N.Y.C. there was a very well planned and
beautiful memorial for so many who lost their life
10 years ago when the trade center buildings violently fell.
I watched our President Barack Obama and his wife
Michelle solemnly standing at the memorial and I suddenly
felt very proud to see our nations first black President and
to know that I was part of a very important time in
American History.
I mean how wonderful is it that a man who's people were
once enslaved was now holding the highest office in these United
States. It does not matter what some people think of him now
as he has lost his popularity since being elected. Just the fact
that the majority of our voters saw the relevance of getting him
there is what sent a pride-filled shiver through my bones.
WE THE PEOPLE did the right thing back then and we will
do the right thing when it comes time to reelect Obama.
Most likely he will not get in office the next time around but we
will know that it is not because he is a black man.
