Our Christmas

At our house Christmas is always a joyous occasion, we enjoy good music, we dance and of course we eat from morning till night. We try to keep with the tradition of my family heritage by making certain Italian appetizers and snack foods but we usually cook an American style dinner because we were born in this country.  When we sit down at our huge table my son in law starts the prayer giving thanks for all of the wonderful bounty the Lord has given to us and for the life and death of our most beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ. We are going easy on the gift giving this year, I have learned the hard way that beside being very expensive when buying to much as I used to do, my grandkids get overwhelmed when opening gifts and after awhile they dont even look at what is in the boxes.
This year I purchased one gift for each child; they're going to flip when they see what I bought for them. I can't tell you what it is now but after Christmas I will tell you all about it. Tomorrow I am making Strufle as my family call it! Otherwise known in America as honey balls, my kids love them and I have finally learned to like them myself. As a child I wasn't crazy about them..too sweet!  Maybe I like them now because I have developed Diabetes and you can guess how much a diabetic might like sweets can't ya? Well friend and or reletive, keep the peace, enjoy your holiday season and walk with your chin toward the sky.  Celebrate the birth of Our Lord Jesus with your family and friends and never forget the true meaning of Xmas *wink*

Louie

Louis Armstrong was the first important soloist to emerge in jazz, he became the most influential name in music history. He was a trumpet virtuoso who could made his intrument talk.

My My I can't get enough of him

Baby Santino Giustizia

Isn't he just a bundle of joy?
Santino is Paul & Elvira's new addition to the Giustizia family.
He is the baby brother of sweet little Angelo, I just want to hold them and kiss their loving little cheeks.

A poem I wrote awhile ago

Pigs, Pigs Everywhere You Should See Them All

Once upon a day so long, a sweet little piggy was singing her song.

She sang for her Momma who passed away, her voice was soothing,

tranquil and gay.

She was born in a pigsty, her name was Fanny; she had brothers and sisters

and a loving old Granny.

Her Momma was tired she did not want to go,

She cried for her to stay as she prayed for her soul.

Fanny's Momma held on as long as she could, she nurtured them to health till she knew all was good.

Closing her eyes she heard voices calling, "come home now to heaven"

the pig angels were squalling.

Fanny sang from her heart to her mother above, a sweet serenade of a dear daughters love.

~~ I am lovin it ~~

I don't remember when I first heard the Bob & Sheri radio show but definately a few years have passed since then.  The show was entertaining and listening to Sheri speak mesmerized me because her voice was simply too cool.  Sheri has a great sense of humor and although I wouldn't want to leave Bob out of the mix I think Sheri is the reason most people tuned in.  Sorry Bobarooski !
For some reason I thought of their show tonight so I googled it and from their site I found Sheri's Blog.  I highly suggest that you go to it and keep it in your FAVORITES okay :)   I will be there to search Sheri's Blog,  I think it makes for very interesting reading.  I am delighted to know that Sheri is a very spiritual person and I look foward to reading about Sheri's love of God, our wonderful Creator and how much He means to her as one of his devine children.  So without further adeiu (check my spelling on that one)

Goodbye NY Winter~~Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr & more!

Believe me when I tell you I'll be so happy when I head down to Florida this winter. Lin and I will be spending 3 months skipping in the sand and just plain enjoying the warmer weather.
What I like most when I am there is that there is always something to do no matter what time of the day or night it is. Even Mc' Donalds is open 24 hrs. a day, although I do like Denny's better because every year when I walk in there for the first time that season the waitresses remember me by name. So, we get a nice greeting when we go there. Aside from my vacation I would like to mention a few things while I am here. I am going to try and post a video here so let me know if it works when you click on it okay..
I hope to be able to start writing again as I have had writers block for the last couple of years.
It has been hard for me to be creative like I used to be so please pray that my gift returns and that I can grace this board with some nice works for you to enjoy. Life is very short as ya know, words are easily said and they can never be taken back. Lets be careful to select what comes out of our mouth with dignity and try to realize that every person we come in contact with are just like us. They are children of God such as we. By hurting them we hurt ourselves even deeper. We do things in life that we may not be proud of sometimes and the only way to secure respect is to say we are sorry and mean what we say and show it too. Everyone makes mistakes, even me, lol. I have hurt people in the past by being vengeful and wanting to get even at them for one reason or another. But, I found that being like that made me feel lousy in the outcome because I never wanted to be that kind of person in life. I prayed for forgiveness and made my apologies and I know that I am a better person now for it. So my friends, look into your heart, do some soul searching and gather your wits about you when you are confronted with ignorance or fear. We can create our own destiny, yes we can! Well with that said I will be thinking of all you snowbirds when I am in sunny Fla. and praying that your heating bills aren't to high this winter. While I am gone I know Kurt (my hubby) will keep the temp between 58 & 60 degrees..lol.. he's tight in the wallet where heat is concerned.
