What is life without good memories? My mother is
in my fondest memory. She lives on though her family
and friends. My Mama was well liked, a courageous
person and a woman with so many attributes. Way back she
wrote for the Saugerties Post. Her column was called the
Pine Grove News. Not bad for a woman who never got passed sixth grade huh?
Mama was self taught, she read at least 5 books a day and her hand writing was among the most beautiful I have ever seen.
My mother was quite well known locally for her cooking and catering skills. Toward the end of her life it was sad to see her suffer
from the effects of Diabetes. Mom died at 68 yrs. of age, much to
young to say goodbye. We celebrate her life often by talking about the fun times and watching videos with my mother in real action :)
We have voice recordings of her and my father and our family from
holidays past which are sometimes sad to listen to but on the other
hand it is something else to hear their voices again.
So we all sit and cry and then we all laugh and afterward we smile and
yak away about Mom and Dad.
Have a great day friends :)
